On the very first episode of This American Life, there is an interesting story of a man who lived his life like he had only 6 months to live. How would you live your life if you have six months to live? Would you be more giving? More adventerous? More caring? Would you seek out friends and family that you have grown distant from?

Why don’t we all live life like we only had six months to live? Would that make the world a better or worse place?

Have you ever wondered the best technique to remember someone’s name? This is a problem that I long struggled with. Here’s a few tips that have helped me remember people’s names.

1. When introduced, repeat the person’s name.
2. Repeat the person’s name as often as possible while in conversation with them.
3. If you forget their name, do not be afraid to ask their name again. They might have forgotten your name just too!
4. Ask for a business card. What could be better than to have their name written right in front of you?
5. Associate their name with something. You could associate their name with a place or thing that sound like their name, or with someone else you know who has the same name.
